Volvo is rolling out its updated 2016 XC90 T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid SUV later this year, and it's coming with some amazing features. To boost efficiency, Volvo equipped the vehicle with turbocharge, supercharge, and an electric motor. It will do 0-60 in just under six seconds and Volvo says it has a 17-mile electric-only range, although that is not official just yet.

The XC90 plug-in will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gas engine from Volvo's Drive-E line, and it will also have two forms of forced induction that will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The supercharger boosts the power at the bottom end of the rev range, which gives the turbocharger time to increase boost. Then the turbo can be used at higher revs in order to increase the mid-range and top-end power.

The friendly sales staff at Howard Orloff will show you all the available options for the 2016 XC90 T8 hybrid. In the base trim, known as the Momentum trim, the plug-in hybrid SUV will have an MSRP of $69,095. R-Design, one of the top trim levels, will be equipped with a slightly redesigned interior, a unique front spoiler, Nubuck and Nappa leather, a piano black front grille, and dual integrated tail pipes. It will start at $70,995. The other top trim level, called Inscription, will include luxury features like Nappa leather seats, a silver matte grille, chrome accents, and linear wood inlays. This package will come with a MSRP price tag of $72,595.
